Outstanding tomato crops thanks to Agribiosol

Project details

In Bangangté, in Cameroon’s West Region, Mr. Rodrigue was growing tomatoes on 1.2 hectares without a suitable irrigation system. Like many growers in the area, he lacked control over water and fertilization, which limited plant growth, encouraged disease and considerably slowed the growth cycle. Flowering, a key stage for yield, usually only began after a month of growing.

Proposed solution

To address these constraints, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system across the entire plot. Each plant receives exactly the amount of water it needs, with no waste. In addition, a complete Agribiosol fertilization program was deployed: soil amendment through a fertilization tank built into the irrigation network, complemented by a targeted foliar treatment to nourish the crops in depth and strengthen their natural resistance.

Results

The results were spectacular and immediate. Just 2 weeks after installation, the plants were already flowering, a stage usually reached after a month of growing. Growth was remarkable and the crops stayed perfectly healthy, with no disease, thanks to the combined action of Agribiosol fertilizers and the irrigation equipment installed. As Mr. Rodrigue put it himself: “In 4 years, I have never seen anything like it.”

800 citrus trees protected by drip irrigation

Project details

Problem

Dr HASSAN, a farmer in Ngaoundéré, was growing citrus (lemons, mandarins and oranges) on 2.25 hectares. He faced several major constraints: the dry season, a persistent water shortage and insufficient labor. These difficulties were compromising plant health and the farm’s overall productivity.

To overcome these obstacles, a drip irrigation system was installed. This modern technology gives each plant exactly the amount of water it needs, while optimizing resource use and reducing dependence on a large workforce.

The positive effects were quick to appear: less disease, regular flowering and green, healthy foliage. The plants now receive a precise water supply, ensuring balanced growth and a farm that is more resilient to climate hazards.

A 4,000 m² papaya orchard brought under control with drip irrigation

Project details

Problem

On a 4,000 m² papaya orchard in Mbankomo (Cameroon), the grower faced a chronic water shortage and unpredictable weather that made water supply irregular. Without a suitable irrigation system, papaya growth depended on rainfall, making production irregular and exposed to losses during the dry season or prolonged water stress.

Proposed solution

To secure the plantation’s water supply, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system across the full 4,000 m² of the orchard. The system delivers water directly to the base of each plant in a precise, controlled way, ensuring uniform irrigation over the whole area, including hard-to-reach zones, while significantly reducing evaporation losses.

Results

The installation delivered substantial water savings through targeted, waste-free distribution. Papaya growth improved markedly, with uniform vegetation across the plot. Controlled irrigation reduced vulnerability to climate hazards and improved the farm’s overall profitability, turning a struggling orchard into a stable, high-performing production unit.

Large tomatoes and dense foliage thanks to Agribiosol

Project details

On a 5,000 m² plot in Cameroon’s West Region, Mr. Idrissou was growing tomatoes that were struggling to reach their full potential. Vegetative growth was slow, the plants were late to develop and the fruit stayed small, considerably limiting the market value and profitability of the harvest.

Proposed solution

To address these agronomic constraints, JOGOO Agriculture set up a fertilization program based on Agribiosol biofertilizer. This range of organo-mineral fertilizers and biostimulants, specially formulated for African soils, works in depth on plant nutrition, stimulates soil biological activity and naturally strengthens crop vigor and resistance.

Results

The effects were remarkable and visible across the whole plot. The plants developed dense, vigorous foliage, with abundant and regular flowering. The fruit reached a large size, well above what had been achieved before, and the quantity produced increased considerably. Notably, no disease was observed on the crops, showing the ability of Agribiosol biofertilizers to strengthen plants’ natural resistance while boosting their productivity.

Well-filled maize ears and faster germination thanks to Agribiosol.

Project details

Problem

On a 6-hectare farm in Mbandjock, Mr. ESSAGA Yves was having difficulties with the growth and quality of his maize ears. The plants’ vegetative development fell short of the expected potential, directly affecting the density and filling of the ears, and therefore the value of the final harvest.

Proposed solution

To remove these agronomic constraints, JOGOO Agriculture set up a fertilization program based on Agribiosol biofertilizer. With organo-mineral formulations adapted to African soil and climate conditions, Agribiosol stimulates germination from the earliest stages of the crop cycle, improves the uptake of essential nutrients and supports steady, vigorous growth throughout the plant’s development.

Results

The results were convincing across all 6 hectares. Germination was markedly faster, giving uniform, rapid emergence. Spacing and row alignment between plants were fully respected, making the plot easier to maintain and optimizing planting density. Growth was vigorous and steady, producing well-filled, higher-quality ears, a transformation directly attributable to the Agribiosol biofertilizers.

Pepper and papaya in Penja: zero water stress in the dry season thanks to drip irrigation

Project details

Problem

In Penja, Mr. SIEKAPEN Tiani was growing pepper and papaya on 6 hectares in one of Cameroon’s best-known production areas. Despite the recognized quality of the terroir, his crops suffered severe water stress during the dry season. Without a controlled water supply, the plants lacked moisture, leading to plant losses, a longer production cycle and yields well below the farm’s potential.

Proposed solution

To secure the plantation’s water supply all year round, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system across all 6 hectares. The system delivers water directly to each plant’s root zone in a precise, regular and autonomous way, completely independent of seasonal climate variations and guaranteeing a constant water supply even in drought periods.

Results

The drip irrigation system was a game changer for the farm. Dry-season water stress was eliminated entirely, allowing the pepper and papaya plants to grow without interruption or slowdown. Production time shortened thanks to a more regular, sustained growth cycle. Harvests are now abundant, with good yields across the whole plot, and no plant losses have been recorded, a major transformation for a farm operating in an area with strong commercial potential like Penja.

A 4-hectare pepper farm saved from drought thanks to drip irrigation.

Project details

Problem

In Mbanga, in the Littoral Region, Jules was running a 4-hectare pepper farm facing serious difficulties in the dry season. Water shortage and prolonged water stress were weakening the pepper plants, a crop that is particularly sensitive to changes in soil moisture. Without suitable irrigation, plant losses were recurrent, the production cycle grew longer and harvests stayed well below the farm’s potential, while trying to make up for the lack of water by hand took considerable time and energy.

Proposed solution

JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system across all 4 hectares of the pepper farm. The system provides a continuous, precise water supply delivered directly to the base of each plant, regardless of weather conditions. Pepper, which needs constant root moisture for optimal fruiting, now benefits from fully controlled water supply all year round, including in the middle of the dry season.

Results

The benefits were immediate and concrete. Water stress was eliminated, ending the plant losses that had held back production season after season. The crop cycle shortened thanks to more regular, sustained growth, significantly reducing production time. Jules also saves a great deal of time and energy, as irrigation is now automated and no longer requires manual work. The harvest is abundant and the farm now runs at full capacity, whatever the season.

Profitable vegetable crops in Bangangté after switching from manual watering

Project details

Problem

On a 2,500 m² vegetable plot in Bangangté, Mr. Djibril NGASSAM faced a combination of constraints that weighed heavily on his farm’s profitability. Manual watering, irregular and uneven, could not guarantee a sufficient, uniform water supply across the plot. The method also required a large, costly workforce, a financial burden that was hard to sustain. A chronic water shortage made matters worse, compromising crop growth and limiting achievable yields.

Proposed solution

To solve these constraints at once, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system on the 2,500 m² of vegetable crops. The system fully replaces manual watering, providing automatic, precise and uniform water distribution across the plot with no labor dedicated to watering. Each plant receives exactly the amount of water it needs, at the right time and in the right place.

Results

The drip system enabled Mr. Djibril NGASSAM to achieve good yields across his entire vegetable plot. The regularity and precision of the water supply directly improved both the quality and the quantity of production. Ending manual watering also significantly reduced operating costs by cutting labor needs, improving the overall profitability of the business.

A 9,000 m² papaya orchard transformed by irrigation and Agribiosol.

Project details

Problem

In Galim, Mr. Désiré was running a 9,000 m² papaya orchard facing two major challenges. On the one hand, a recurring water shortage limited plant growth and exposed the plantation to the hazards of the dry season. On the other, the eating quality of the fruit (its taste, texture and size) fell short of the crop’s potential, reducing its market value and buyer satisfaction.

Proposed solution

To address both issues, JOGOO Agriculture deployed a combined approach. A drip irrigation system was installed across all 9,000 m², ensuring a precise, regular and water-efficient supply to every papaya tree in every season. In addition, a fertilization program based on Agribiosol biofertilizer was set up to enrich plant nutrition, improve soil structure and biology, and stimulate fruit development in depth.

Results

Combining controlled irrigation with Agribiosol fertilization produced convincing results across the plantation. Production rose markedly in volume, with vigorous plants and more abundant fruiting. Water use was optimized, reducing evaporation losses and keeping root moisture constant. But the most remarkable result was the clear improvement in fruit taste and quality: tastier, better-sized papayas with denser flesh, ready to sell on local markets.

A more productive, less labor-intensive pineapple crop thanks to plastic mulch.

Project details

Problem

In Loum, within the UNAPAC cooperative, Mr. SOP wanted to improve the quality and performance of his pineapple production. Without suitable ground cover, the plot suffered from excessive water evaporation, weeds competing with the plants for nutrients and light, and poor fertilizer efficiency, with much of it lost to leaching or evaporation before reaching the root zone. Together, these factors lengthened the production cycle and capped achievable yields.

Proposed solution

JOGOO Agriculture recommended and installed plastic mulch film on Mr. SOP’s pineapple plot. This ground-cover technique, widely proven in intensive agriculture, creates a favorable micro-environment at soil level: it limits water evaporation, keeps root moisture constant, blocks weed growth and improves fertilizer uptake by the pineapple plants.

Results

The benefits of the mulch film showed up across every aspect of crop management. The production cycle was shortened, allowing earlier harvests and faster crop rotation. Yields increased thanks to optimized growing conditions. Water evaporation was significantly reduced, keeping the soil permanently moist without extra irrigation. Deprived of light, weeds were naturally kept in check, reducing weeding needs. Finally, fertilizer efficiency improved markedly, with nutrients better retained and absorbed by the pineapple plants.

+32% stalks and +47% ears: trial results show how Agribiosol transforms maize

Project details

Problem

As part of a rigorous evaluation, JOGOO Agriculture ran a comparative trial on 1 hectare to measure objectively the impact of Agribiosol biofertilizers on maize. The aim was to demonstrate, with figures, the difference in quality and yield between a plot fertilized with Agribiosol and a control plot managed without it.

Proposed solution

A trial protocol was set up on two comparable plots: one treated with Agribiosol biofertilizers (organo-mineral fertilizers and biostimulants formulated for African soils) and a control plot without Agribiosol, both managed under otherwise identical conditions. The two plots were monitored and assessed on the same indicators: the number of stalks developed and the number of ears produced.

Results

The trial results are clear. The Agribiosol plot produced 82 stalks and 87 ears, compared with only 62 stalks and 59 ears on the control plot, an increase of +32% in stalks and +47% in ears in favor of Agribiosol. Beyond the figures, the ears on the Agribiosol plot were large, well filled and sturdy, with a good overall yield, confirming that Agribiosol biofertilizers improve both the quantity and the quality of maize production.

Deep roots that withstand heavy rain thanks to Agribiosol Seed-on

Project details

Problem

A trial was carried out to address a common agronomic problem in tropical areas: the fragility of plants in heavy rain. Without a sufficiently dense and deep root system, crops are vulnerable to lodging, where plants fall over or are uprooted by intense rainfall and wind, causing significant harvest losses and lower production quality.

Proposed solution

JOGOO Agriculture tested the application of Agribiosol Seed-on biofertilizer, a product specially designed for seed inoculation and root development from the plant’s earliest stages. Seed-on stimulates root colonization, encouraging fast, dense and deep rooting that anchors the plant firmly in the soil and strengthens its ability to withstand external mechanical stress.

Results

The trial showed that Seed-on had a remarkable effect on the root structure of the treated plants. The roots observed were dense, branched and well developed, with markedly deeper rooting than the untreated control plants. This stronger root architecture gave the crops significantly greater resistance to heavy rain, limiting lodging and protecting plant integrity throughout the crop cycle, a decisive advantage in the high-rainfall areas of sub-Saharan Africa.

Cocoa pods in the first year thanks to drip irrigation in Ebolowa

Project details

Problem

In Ebolowa, Mr. DJOAH Yves Thierry, working with IRAD (Cameroon’s Institute of Agricultural Research for Development), was running a cocoa plantation facing droughts and a chronic water shortage. Cocoa, a perennial crop that needs constant moisture, suffered from these water deficits, which considerably slowed its vegetative growth, delayed the first fruiting and exposed young plants to significant losses, while requiring a large workforce to try to make up for the lack of water by hand.

Proposed solution

JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system on the cocoa plantation. The system guarantees a regular, precise and autonomous water supply directly to the root zone of each cocoa tree, completely independent of climate hazards and droughts. Automated irrigation removes the need for labor for watering and ensures optimal water conditions throughout plant development.

Results

The results exceeded expectations, even under rigorous IRAD monitoring. The most remarkable benefit was the appearance of the first cocoa pods just one year after planting, an exceptionally short time for a crop whose first fruiting usually comes much later without controlled irrigation. Vegetative growth was vigorous and uniform across the plantation. Plant losses were significantly reduced, the production cycle shortened, and the farm now saves substantial time and labor, as watering no longer requires daily human intervention.

A modernized, more profitable chili pepper crop thanks to drip irrigation

Project details

Problem

In Bafoussam, Mr. Jean Courgette was growing 2 hectares of chili peppers with a conventional watering system that quickly showed its limits at that scale. This traditional method, time-consuming and uneven, required a large daily workforce, generated high operating costs and could not guarantee a regular, uniform water supply across the plot. The production cycle grew longer and plant losses were hard to control, hurting the farm’s overall profitability.

Proposed solution

To modernize his crop management and free himself from the constraints of manual watering, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system on the 2 hectares of chili peppers. The system provides automatic, precise water distribution directly at the base of each plant, guaranteeing a constant, uniform water supply across the entire plot with no daily human intervention.

Results

Switching to drip irrigation transformed how the farm is run. Labor dedicated to watering fell significantly, generating major savings on wages. Mr. Jean Courgette saves a considerable amount of time, now free from daily watering and able to focus on other aspects of crop management. Plant losses decreased thanks to a more regular, controlled water supply, and the production cycle shortened, allowing earlier harvests and better rotation on the plot.

A 5-hectare citrus orchard revitalized by drip irrigation in Ngaoundéré

Project details

Problem

In Ngaoundéré, Mr. Abdoul Aziz, farming for AGRIVINA, was managing a 5-hectare citrus orchard struggling with serious water supply problems. The trees were suffering from drought, a sign of insufficient and irregular watering that weakened the vegetation and compromised the orchard’s vigor. The gravity-fed system then in place made things worse: imprecise, inefficient and requiring constant supervision, it cost the teams a great deal of time without guaranteeing uniform irrigation across the plot.

Proposed solution

JOGOO Agriculture replaced the gravity system with a drip irrigation system sized for the orchard’s 5 hectares. The system delivers water directly and precisely to each tree’s root zone, automatically and regularly, removing dependence on the terrain and eliminating the runoff and evaporation losses typical of gravity systems. Each citrus tree receives exactly what it needs, at the right time, without permanent labor.

Results

The switch to drip irrigation quickly produced visible effects across the orchard. The vegetation, previously weakened by drought, became dense and healthy again, with vigorous trees and abundant foliage showing that the water supply was finally under control. Water consumption was optimized through precise, waste-free distribution, saving a significant amount of the resource. The time saved is also notable, as abandoning the gravity system freed the teams from monitoring and managing irrigation by hand.

Huge onion bulbs and an exceptional yield thanks to drip irrigation

Project details

Problem

In Figuil, in the Garoua region, Mrs. MAYOBE Christine was growing onions under particularly demanding irrigation conditions. The basin system she used required regular plowing to carry water between the beds, a long, physically exhausting and imprecise method that could not guarantee uniform water distribution across the plot. On top of these operational constraints came a recurring water shortage, weakening the onion plants and limiting bulb development, which directly caused undersized bulbs and yields below the crop’s potential in the area.

Proposed solution

To modernize crop management and remove all these constraints, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system on Mrs. MAYOBE Christine’s plot. The system fully replaces the basin system, providing automatic, precise and uniform water distribution directly to each onion plant’s root zone. Plowing the basins is no longer necessary, as water flows through the drip tape with no manual work, and each plant receives a constant water supply suited to its needs throughout the crop cycle.

Results

Switching to drip irrigation radically transformed the farm’s performance. The field now shows excellent, uniform and vigorous vegetation across the entire plot. The onion bulbs reached a large size, a sign of perfectly controlled water and nutrient supply throughout their development. The yield is exceptional, well above what the basin system allowed. Mrs. MAYOBE Christine also saves considerable time, freed from the time-consuming work of plowing and managing irrigation basins by hand.

Heavier plantain bunches and a shorter cycle thanks to drip irrigation in Batchenga

Project details

Problem

In Batchenga, Mrs. Lysa BIANEN was growing plantain on 1.5 hectares and faced a recurring problem with bunch size: the bunches stayed small, reflecting insufficient plant development and an uncontrolled water supply. Without suitable irrigation, the plantains depended entirely on rainfall for water, exposing the plantation to seasonal climate variations and limiting bunch growth, which is directly linked to water availability throughout the growth cycle.

Proposed solution

JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system on the 1.5 hectares of plantain. The system provides a regular, continuous water supply directly to each plant’s root zone, regardless of weather conditions. Constant water availability at root level stimulates vegetative development, encourages bunch growth and secures production all year round without depending on rain.

Results

The drip irrigation system produced concrete, rapid results on Mrs. Lysa BIANEN’s plantation. Water problems were eliminated entirely, with the plants now receiving a constant, controlled water supply throughout their cycle. Yield improved markedly, with better-developed and heavier bunches than before. The most notable benefit was the shorter production time: thanks to sustained, continuous vegetative growth, the crop cycle shortened, allowing earlier harvests and faster rotation on the plantation.

Cucumbers, zucchini and cabbage thriving despite drought thanks to drip irrigation in Bafoussam

Project details

Problem

In Bafoussam, Mr. Jean Antoine was growing a mix of cucumbers, zucchini and cabbage that was seriously threatened by drought. These vegetable crops, which need a lot of water and are sensitive to water stress, suffered from the lack of regular rainfall. Without suitable irrigation, plant growth slowed, the fruit stayed underdeveloped and harvest quality was directly compromised, leaving the farm vulnerable to every dry spell.

Proposed solution

To secure the plot’s water supply regardless of weather conditions, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system. The system provides a precise, continuous water supply directly at the base of each plant, keeping the soil constantly moist and the roots properly fed, even during prolonged drought. Uniform water distribution across the plot ensures that all the crops grown together develop evenly.

Results

The results show how much the farm has changed. The zucchini are green, fleshy and in excellent health, a sign of vegetation that is perfectly supplied with water and nutrients. Kept permanently moist by the drip system, the soil gives the crops optimal growing conditions throughout the cycle. The most striking result is the size of the fruit: up to 3 kg per fruit, an exceptional size for zucchini, reflecting perfectly controlled water supply. The plot’s overall yield is good, confirming that drip irrigation turns drought-threatened crops into regular, profitable production.

10 tonnes of watermelon per hectare and an abundant harvest thanks to drip irrigation in Foumban

Project details

Problem

In Foumban, Mr. Ibrahim ADEWA was growing 3 hectares of watermelon and faced two major constraints that capped his results. First, poor control of the crop calendar made it hard to match watering with the crop’s physiological stages, a decisive factor for fruit development and size. Second, inefficient water management caused heavy losses through runoff and evaporation, exposing the plants to water stress that harmed fruit set and watermelon quality.

Proposed solution

To regain control of the water supply and optimize crop management, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system on the 3 hectares. The system allows precise, scheduled watering in step with the watermelon crop calendar. Water is delivered directly to each plant’s root zone with no waste, keeping soil moisture constant and eliminating water stress at the critical fruit-swelling stage.

Results

The results were remarkable across the plot. Mr. Ibrahim ADEWA achieved a yield of 10 tonnes per hectare, with an abundant harvest of large, well-sized watermelons and no water stress recorded throughout the crop cycle. Controlled irrigation also significantly reduced labor costs, as watering is now automated and no longer requires daily manual work. The farm’s profitability has improved markedly, driven by a high yield and lower operating costs.

Well-developed cabbages despite drought thanks to drip irrigation

Project details

Problem

Mr. Roger was growing cabbages that were regularly threatened by drought. Cabbage, a vegetable crop that is very sensitive to water deficits, needs a regular and sustained water supply to form dense heads and reach a good size. Without suitable irrigation, the plants lacked water, forcing intensive manual watering that required a large, costly workforce without guaranteeing even distribution across the plot.

Proposed solution

To protect the crop against climate hazards and optimize the use of available resources, JOGOO Agriculture installed a drip irrigation system. The system provides an automatic, precise water supply directly to each cabbage plant’s root zone, keeping soil moisture constant regardless of the weather. Irrigation is now under control with no labor dedicated to daily watering.

Results

The drip system allowed Mr. Roger to remove both of his main constraints at once. Water consumption fell significantly thanks to targeted, waste-free distribution, saving a notable amount of water. Labor costs for watering were eliminated, lowering operating costs. Agronomically, the cabbages achieved a good yield, with the plants now receiving a regular water supply suited to their needs throughout the crop cycle, whatever the season.
